Virtual Tour Features

The foundation for any good virtual tour is superb high-quality photography. Around this foundation, additional interface features can be added to make the content even more useful and appealing to your web audience. Read on to discover some of the virtual tour features that Eye Revolution offer.

Photography
Full virtual tours – all of our virtual tours are a full 360°, meaning that you can see the floors and ceilings, and these are not ‘locked out’ (other than at the Client’s request).

High Dynamic Range Images (HDRI) – each virtual tour is made up of a minimum of 8 images shot at 5-7 exposures (around 40-56 images in total). Shooting different exposures means that we are able to evenly capture more of both the light and the shadow within the space.

Retouching – each 360 is balanced and retouched to enhance the image, showcasing your space looking its best.

Full screen and small screen versions – the small screen versions are often useful to display on an intro page for computers on a slow connection speed. The viewer can then choose to click through to the full screen versions.

Auto rotation – each 360 does an opening rotation to show the viewer a small preview of the space before they explore fully. It also helps them to immediately recognise that the image is interactive.

Future-proofing – each virtual tour is captured at an extremely high resolution to ensure they will look fresh and crisp for many, many years to come.

Optimisation – your tours will be optimised for a swift loading time.

Still images – we provide the spherical panoramas as still image files for you to use on your website.

Interface
You can pick and choose the features that offer you the best solution for your interface.

Cross-platform compatibility – iOS Compatible; our virtual tours work on iPad, iPhone & Android devices using HTML5.

Customised – the interface features your colours, logo and branding.

Thumbnail navigation – a simple navigation method allowing the viewer to click a thumbnail to move between 360s.

Floorplan navigation – a floorplan can help the viewer feel orientated within the space, and enable tom to understand how the whole building / area fits together. As well as understanding where they are within a building for example, the floorplan can also show them their current direction of view within each 360.

Maps – a Google Maps interface enables users to see 360 virtual tours that are geographically removed from each other.

Navigation arrows – an arrow on a floor or a door indicates to the viewer that they can move into a different area.

Hotspots – a viewer can click on hotspots to reveal additional content. This could be as simple as a picture and/or text, but could also contain PDF downloads, links, audio content or movie content.

Audio – your virtual tour can feature a soundtrack or voiceover, or even sound effects.

Movies – you can include movies in a variety of ways, making your 360 tour even more engaging for your audience. We can even integrate live webcams.

Accessibility – where accessibility is important we can advise on ways to increase W3C compliance.

Hosting – Eye Revolution offer a year’s free hosting to most clients.

Support – we offer support to your web team so that your virtual tours can be smoothly added to your website.
