We are committed to caring for our environment and ensuring that we keep our virtual tour footprint as small as we can! We endeavour to both minimize the impact on our local environment, and also contribute to it in a meaningful way. We have listed below some of the policies which show how we work to achieve this.
Reduce
As much as is practical, we run a paperless office, and never print documents unless it’s vital for business purposes. We limit business car journeys to essential business trips (using public transport when possible) and use energy saving lightbulbs in the belief that these small elements eventually add up to a big difference.
Reuse
In the belief that everything can make a difference, we reuse many items where practical:
- We reuse items such as scrap paper, packing materials and boxes.
- Old business equipment such as furniture no longer in use is ‘Freecycled’.
- We use rechargeable batteries for much of our equipment.
- We avoid disposable items.
- We use recycled paper where possible.
Recycle
As a business, we do not generate much waste. However, where we do, we make every attempt to recycle.
One of the most satisfying recycling initiatives at Eye Revolution is what we do with our shredded paper. This is donated to a local animal rescue who use it as bedding for the small rescue animals in their care!
Computer and Electrical Equipment
Computer equipment which is no longer used is donated to local schools and schoolchildren in Haringey.
Charitable work
Each year, Eye Revolution take on a charitable project and create virtual tours for them at no cost. They are able to use the virtual tours as a marketing tool and further content for their website, without having to fundraise to pay for it. This means that more funds can be channeled directly to the charity’s recipients.
