The National Gallery: Imaginarium

We’re delighted to announce that the National Gallery’s new Imaginarium opens with our interactive gallery 360 of Room 36. Introduced by Sir Ben Okri, The Imaginarium is a beautifully crafted and engaging experience, and we’re incredibly proud to see our imagery forming the opening. The project shows how a beautifully crafted 360 image can anchor something ambitious, while staying fast, accessible and easy to explore.

The Imaginarium blends sound, gentle prompts, poetry and subtle animation to encourage you to slow down and look again at the art – familiar or new. Thus, you can discover it on a deeper level. It guides users on a personal journey through the paintings.

Our high-quality 360s are versatile assets. Their use can be extended beyond just virtual tours. Thus, when they’re produced with care, they can be repurposed across channels and formats without losing clarity or impact. Here are a few ways our clients use them:

  • Immersive entry points for interactive experiences and microsites.
  • Learning and interpretation layers for arts and culture audiences, combining audio, captions and hotspots.
  • High-resolution zoomable detail to show craft, texture and materials close-up.
  • VR-ready versions for events and installations, optimised for modern headsets
  • Aerial 360s to set context and scale before dropping into ground-level views.
  • Use on channels, for instance, Google Business profiles and Facebook as interactive assets.

In short, our 360s are flexible building blocks. Capture them well and they will work hard for years.

Safe hands for prestige projects

We’ve spent two decades producing 360 virtual tours for organisations who need an exceptional finish and reliable delivery. From gallery 360s to car interior spins.

If your stakeholders care about consistency, accessibility and polish, you’ll be in good company.

We’re very excited to share that there’s a bigger National Gallery project launching soon. We can’t wait to see it go live and share it with you.

What is a Gallery 360?

A Gallery 360 is a high-quality, interactive panoramic image. It lets people explore your space online or on-site. A gallery 360 can include hotspots, captions, audio, and zoom. You can use it as a microsite entry point, on a kiosk, or within a larger digital experience. See examples in our portfolio.

How can I use a 360 beyond a virtual tour?

Our 360s are versatile assets that you can repurpose across channels. Use it for learning and interpretation with audio and captions, for high-resolution detail of craft and materials, for VR and installations, for aerial context, and for marketing, PR, and social clips. One capture, many outputs!

Can one Gallery 360 serve web, VR and in-gallery screens?

Yes. We can deliver fast web versions, headset-ready 360s, and high-resolution crops for print. We carefully manage colour, and accessibility and hosting are considered from the start. So, if you’d like advice for your location, please do get in touch.
