Explore the Chatsworth Estate
One of our favourite projects of all time was our TV set virtual tour of the Chatsworth Estate, the centrepiece of the hit Channel 4 show that was ‘Shameless’.
We first created a Shameless Virtual Tour back in 2011. The Chatsworth Estate tour was such a success with the Shameless fans that the show’s producer’s later invited us back to add yet more outrageous content for viewers to explore.
Additional areas included extra 360s at The Jockey, the Gallagher’s house, the Maguires and Lillian’s, ahem… place of business.
Sadly Shameless came to an end in 2013 after 11 series, but fans can still explore the tours and have a nostalgic look around the sets.
Why a TV Set virtual tour is worthwhite
Virtual tours make ideal fan content for TV series with locations that viewers may want to explore. Fans can explore the sets in their own time, zooming in to see the detail. There’s extra information they can read to discover more about their favourite series.
The ‘Shameless’ 360 Tours
We were exceptionally lucky to work with a client who was determined to push the boundaries with the virtual tours. The Shameless team absolutely wanted to go to town, and they did this in spades! They even produced bespoke additional content for the tour that would delight the fans. For example, Lillian made a ‘dating’ video just for the tour – along with many more little gems to be found throughout.
Our programmers worked to integrate this content into the tour – ensuring the viewers would take their time exploring, as there was so much to find. We particularly like the info pop-up on the ‘suggestions box’ at Lillian’s massage parlour, which when opened, shows a variety of suggestions received from a variety of characters. The tours made fantastic use of sound and video within the 360 environment. Viewers can discover new features throughout the tours.
Please note that the Chatsworth Estate TV set virtual tour is in tune with the adult nature of the series, and you must be 18 or over to view.
